Masdar and EDF Power Solutions have made a significant move in the renewable energy sector with the signing of 15-year power purchase agreements (PPAs) for the BigBeau Solar+Storage Project in California. This project, a joint venture between Masdar and EDF Power Solutions, marks a substantial step towards meeting California's growing demand for clean energy and grid stability.

The BigBeau project, located in Kern County, California, is a 128 MWac solar facility paired with a 40 MW/160 MWh battery energy storage system. It has been operational since December 2022 and began supplying electricity to Southern California Edison (SCE) on February 1, 2026.
