Former UNEARTH and AS I LAY DYING guitarist Ken Susi has officially joined ALL THAT REMAINS as the replacement for Jason Richardson. In a recent interview, Susi revealed how he ended up joining the band, sharing an intriguing story of serendipity and musical destiny. 'I just randomly call my friends... So Mike and I have, in the past, gone to Bruins games and Red Sox games, and sometimes you just meet up for chicken,' Susi explained, referring to his friendship with ALL THAT REMAINS guitarist Mike Martin. 'And I was like, 'Oh, yeah. No worries.' And at that point he told me that he was suspecting that something was up between Jason and the band.'
Susi's journey with ALL THAT REMAINS began with a casual phone call to Martin, who was already aware of Richardson's departure. 'I just said, 'Hey, let me take a stab at the stuff. Let me see how insane the guitar stuff is.' 'Cause I'm a good guitar player,' Susi assured the band. 'A lot of people don't know my abilities, because I'm a songwriter first and I don't like to shred over the top of every single song I write.'
Susi's musical prowess was soon recognized, and he was invited to join the band permanently. 'Hey, how would you like to play in the band permanently?' Phil Labonte, the band's singer, asked. 'It's such an honor,' Susi replied, expressing his gratitude for the opportunity. 'Because they've seen me play all the songs and shred the solos and I'm sending them videos so they know I don't suck.'
Susi's addition to ALL THAT REMAINS marks a significant moment for the band, as they continue to evolve and create new music. 'I'm incredibly honored to be joining ALL THAT REMAINS as their new guitarist,' Susi stated in a press release. 'My connection to this band goes back to the late '90s, when I first met Mike, Oli, and Phil at underground shows in Western Massachusetts.'

'I'm deeply honored to step in for my late friend Oli Herbert,' Susi said, paying tribute to the band's co-founding member and lead guitarist, who passed away in 2018. 'His shoes can never truly be filled, and I carry his spirit with me every time I pick up the guitar.'
Susi's addition to ALL THAT REMAINS has been well-received by the band and their fans, who have embraced him with open arms. 'To be honest with you, I'm a very polarizing person,' Susi admitted. 'But, man, I feel so great that everyone's been so nice to me.'
ALL THAT REMAINS's tenth studio album, 'Antifragile', released in January 2025, marked a significant moment for the band, as it was their only effort to feature Richardson. The album's follow-up is already in the works, with Susi contributing musical ideas. 'While I was learning the ALL THAT REMAINS stuff and the tours in May, I was writing so much music,' Susi shared. 'It was just one of those moments where I have this prolific — so much music's flowing out of me.'
