The waves in Los Angeles were so big this week, they were off the charts! As a photographer and videographer, I was thrilled to capture the moment. I arrived at sunrise, ready to document the peak of this swell, and I can tell you, it was no hype. With my Canon 20-800mm lens, I filmed the waves from a mile away, but the morning haze and the spray from the waves made it a challenging yet exciting endeavor. The surf was biggest early on, delivering some double-overhead sets that were a sight to behold. It was like watching a liquid mountain range crash against the shore! If you want to see more of these incredible waves, check out Brad Jacobson's YouTube channel (https://www.youtube.com/c/BradJacobson). But here's where it gets controversial... Some might argue that the best waves are the ones you can't quite reach, but I say, the bigger the wave, the better the story! So, what do you think? Are you a fan of the bigger waves, or do you prefer the more subtle, less-seen moments? Let's discuss in the comments!
