Asics Unveils the Gel-Cumulus 28: A Lightweight Running Shoe with Enhanced Cushioning
Japanese sportswear brand Asics is set to release the latest version of its iconic Gel-Cumulus running shoe, the Gel-Cumulus 28, offering a blend of performance and comfort for everyday use.
Building on the success of its predecessor, the Gel-Cumulus 27, Asics has made significant improvements to the Gel-Cumulus 28, focusing on energy return and durability. The shoe features FF Blast Max, a new and advanced cushioning technology that promises a 'cloud-like' landing experience and responsive toe-offs, ensuring a smooth and efficient stride.
The Gel-Cumulus 28 also boasts improved durability with AHAR(Asics High Abrasion Rubber) Lo in the heel, providing enhanced traction and longevity. Despite the focus on performance, Asics managed to reduce the weight of the shoe, making it even lighter than its predecessor, with a men's size 9 weighing just 259 grams (9.1 ounces).
Asics has also retained the familiar traits that have made the Gel-Cumulus franchise a favorite among runners. The shoe maintains an 8 mm drop height, PureGel technology in the heel for impact absorption, and Fluidride outsoles for traction and smooth transitions.
